THERE IS MUCH CRITICAL ACCLAIM FOR CORAL GUEST'S BOTANICAL MASTERWORKS AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS OF HER WORK IN PRESS REVIEWS AND BOTANICAL ART PUBLICATIONS

THE FOLLOWING TESTIMONIALS OF CORAL'S WORK ARE WRITTEN WITH GREAT APPRECIATION BY THE PRIVATE COLLECTORS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE WHO HAVE COMMISSIONED PRECISION PAINTINGS AND SKETCHES

Your paintings and sketches hang in pride of place in the Library at Knepp. Your life size paintings of the Cocoa de Mer seed pods hang opposite me in my office and are a constant reminder. Much delight and amazement has been showered on the works by guests over the years. Thank you for such wonderful works. Sir Charles Burrell Bt

I rather think that your website and your work in general should be accompanied by a suitably worded health warning, as your paintings are addictive and once hooked one can never have too many. The six tulip portraits (and it is as 'portraits' that I think of them) so wonderfully painted by you, hang in my morning room (now referred to by all as the Tulip Room) and give constant pleasure, particularly in the winter months with their promise of the spring to come. But, alas, there's not quite so much pleasure when my own tulips emerge as they never seem to quite achieve the beauty of your paintings. John Bleach Q.C.   S.C. I am delighted to support the work of Coral Guest who is amongst the leading botanical artists today. I am the very proud owner of a beautiful piece by Coral that perfectly captures, even better than a photograph, the essence of a lily (Lilium longiflorum). Many of my friends admire the artistry as they visit but for me there is more. I was so pleased she collaborated in my series about flower painting with Monty Don for BBC 4, Painting Flowers. The program about the Lily could not have been more exquisitely realised than in seeing Coral at work sketching and painting this masterpiece before our eyes. Prof. Ceri Sherlock

My husband and I are delighted with the poppy oil you recently painted for us. It is a truly unique and exquisite addition to our botanicals collection. We are particularly fond of your paintings, and with an understanding of your creative method, the beauty of each work has an added brilliance. Your paintings will grace our home with fond memories of England, and our very pleasant association with you. Laura and Robert Bennision

What is unique about Coral's work is its extraordinary Presence. Where ever her botanical paintings are hanging, they grab your attention, and draw you in to see the delicacy of detail that balances their boldness. Dr Robert Carr MBChB FRCP FRCPath

If you are looking for a beautiful painting of plants or flowers, you can do no better than commission one from Coral Guest. Her eye for detail is amazing, for she brings her subjects to life in a most realistic manner. We have an exquisite picture of a poppy plant painted by Coral at our home. It is much admired by family members and visitors alike. Robert and Jan Playle

Coral Guest's flower and fruit paintings have a sense of real light and life, of verve and presence. We were students together studying painting and drawing under Ken Howard, and she was later taught by such distinguished painters as Ken Kiff and Sean Scully. If I analyse my enthusiasm for her work, it is surely to do with this breadth of experience that gives her paintings both botanical accuracy, and most importantly, verve, life, and presence. Coral's picture is fantastic - beautifully and lovingly finished. She was meticulous in identifying the correct variety of Magnolia grandiflora and painted a perfect replica for us. We are delighted she was able to deliver the painting herself and explain how she goes about her work. We have commissioned another (a Paulownia ) and are very much looking forward to seeing it soon. Coral Guest is amongst the very best of today's artists, fuelling the renaissance of botanical art. I love her luminous watercolours of plants, which combine meticulous observation with flowing technique, and outstanding design. I started collecting her work in the early 1990's and have now acquired more than half a dozen paintings. Dr Shirley Sherwood
